“Fingers Crossed”

Life is a funny thing, isn’t it? Sometimes we think we’re “past our prime” and sometimes we think we’ve created the best content we’re going to create. When I wrote my song “Made For This,” I was so excited by how it sounded and how fun it was to play that part of me was afraid that song was going to be the best one I came up with.

Now obviously I’m not “old” but I am almost 25. The realization of that hit me the other day and I realized that I am in such a different part of my life than I thought I would be at 24 years old but aren’t we all?

The Pandemic shook the world and in a lot of ways, shook our lives and very way of existing. For me, it shook my future and I think when I wrote “Fingers Crossed,” it was my way of expressing that.

I was scared I wasn’t going to be able to top “Made For This” but I’m pretty confident I did when I wrote, “Fingers Crossed.” I hope you enjoy it and find a weird sense of comfort like I did with this song.

It is by no means finished, the version on here is just the acoustic version but I’m trying to become more open to not being perfect and showing my work as I go. Keep a lookout for the electric version (which I am BEYOND excited for) and thanks for reading this!

Who knows, maybe this song will be my favorite but regardless, I’m just so happy that it’s already reached some of you out there and I hope it continues to resonate with you as I keep “perfecting” it. Fingers crossed right?
